Chennai Super Kings (CSK) – Along with retaining key players, CSK has signed Devon Conway, Rahul Tripathi, and R Ashwin to improve their middle order batsman. Mitchell Santner and Deepak Chahar add depth to the bowling attack, while Rachin Ravindra brings all-round capabilities. Overall Chennai super kings look more balanced compared to other teams in IPL 2025.
Mumbai Indians (MI) – No doubt Mumbai Indians have the best squad for IPL 2025 season, because MI retained their core including Rohit Sharma, Jasprit bumrah and Hardik Pandya. They also purchase Trent Bolt, Deepak chahar, and will jacks, improving both batting and bowling strength.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) – In the IPL 2025 auction RCB released big names like Mohammad Siraj, Maxwell, and Faf Du Plessis. But after the auction RCB overall looked a more balanced team, with explosive players like Phil Salt, Liam Livingston, Romario shepherd, and experienced bowler like Josh hazelwood, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) – Former champion KKR retained their power hitters Andre Russell and Rinku Singh. They also signed Venkatesh Iyer, Quinton de Kock, and Anrich Nortje to improve batting and bowling options. Recently KKR announced Ajinkya Rahane as the new KKR captain.
Rajasthan Royals (RR) – RR retained their reliable youngsters Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shimron Hetmyer, Dhruv Jurel, and Riyan parag. The team also signed Jofra Archer, Wanindu Hasaranga, and Tushar Deshpande to strengthen their bowling attack.
Punjab Kings (PBKS) – PBKS retained Shashank Singh and Prabhsimran Singh. They also bought Shreyas Iyer, Yuzvendra Chahal, Arshpdeep Singh, Nihal wadhera significantly improving their batting and experience bowling options. Recently PBKS appointed Shreyas Iyer as a new captain of Punjab kings.
Delhi Capitals (DC) – DC retained Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav while signing Mitchell Starc and KL Rahul to improve both the batting and bowling departments. They also bought Jake Fraser-McGurk, which makes the best opening pair of Kl Rahul, and JFM.
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) – SRH retained Pat Cummins, Abhishek Sharma, Nitish Reddy, Heinrich Klaasen and Travis Head while acquiring Mohammed Shami and Harshal Patel to strengthen their bowling lineup. Overall SRH batting line up looks most dangerous in comparison to other teams.
